After Hours Clinic
AFTER HOURS CLINIC
CONSULTATIONS OFFERED AT OUR FIVE CONVENIENT LOCATIONS IN DELRAY BEACH, LAKE WORTH, DEERFIELD BEACH, FORT LAUDERDALE AND CORAL SPRINGS, FL
An after-hours clinic is an urgent care facility that offers medical attention outside of standard office hours. After-hours clinics are crucial resources for those with illnesses or injuries that need immediate attention. They can also offer routine medical care to patients whose schedules don’t allow them to visit the doctor during regular hours.
Juggling healthcare and your schedule shouldn’t be a hassle. Dr. G’s Urgent Care Clinic specializes in urgent care services and treats injuries and illness without the need for an appointment. We also offer physical exams, occupational medicine, and pediatric urgent care. We believe that it shouldn’t be hard to get the medical attention you need, even during evenings and weekends. Our locations are open 7 days a week, 12 hours a day. For more information, call us today at (561) 330-9363.
ABOUT AFTER HOURS CARE
Life doesn’t just happen 9-5, Monday through Friday. But unfortunately, most medical offices are only open on weekdays, and during hours when most people are at work or school.
Clearly, patients need an alternative to the limited hours of traditional medical offices, and after-hours clinics and urgent care centers like Dr. G’s are stepping up to the plate! A study found that the number of visits to this kind of clinic increased fourfold from 2007 to 2009, to an estimated 6 million visits that year. Almost half of these visits were on the weekend or during weekday hours when physician offices are typically closed. (1)
Even if you have insurance and a primary care provider, and can manage to fit a visit into your day, it can take weeks to get an appointment. This can make taking care of your health a frustrating task that can compromise other obligations and responsibilities.
But those that need immediate medical care can still get seen at an urgent care center that offers after-hours care, like Dr. G’s!
DR. G’S AFTER HOURS CLINICS:
- Are open longer hours, weekends, and/or holidays
- May offer shorter wait times than an emergency room
- Offer faster access to a doctor
- Don’t require an appointment
- Have lab testing and other diagnostic services onsite
- Lower co-payments or final cost than an emergency room

CONVENIENT CARE AND OTHER SERVICES
You may need additional testing, X-rays, or a prescription which can involve making additional appointments, taking more time off of work, and re-arranging your schedule again. Not at Dr. G’s! We also offer these services with extended hours, so that you’ll be able to address all aspects of your health concerns. There’s no appointment required, and no running all over town.
For fast diagnosis and treatment of non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, Dr. G’s Urgent Care Center performs x-rays, labs, and EKGs right in our facility. We also provide vaccines, specialized gynecology services, STD testing, and more. If you’ve been meaning to get tested, or are due for routine medical service, like a pap smear or vaccination, after hour services at Dr. G’s Urgent Care can give you the chance to finally take care of yourself, at a time and place that’s best for you.
WELLNESS IS ALWAYS URGENT!
Dr. G’s is here for you when you can’t get to your regular doctor and don’t need a trip to the hospital. Heading to urgent care when you’re not feeling well can keep the people you love, and your community safe and healthy. When it comes to sick babies and small children, it’s extra important to seek medical care as quickly as possible.
And while some symptoms may seem like obvious indicators of a particular illness, they can also be misleading. It’s important to seek professional medical care in a timely fashion to know exactly what is affecting you or your child’s health. Avoid allowing an illness or condition to progress. Undiagnosed and misdiagnosed issues frequently lead to more serious cases.

URGENT, OR AN EMERGENCY?
You shouldn’t have to choose between your health and your finances. Dr. G’s Urgent Care offers extended hours that can allow you to see a doctor without an appointment, and without an expensive visit to the emergency room. While the emergency room may seem like the fastest way to be treated, urgent care centers like ours offer many of the services that larger medical facilities feature.
Our after-hour services can help you avoid a trip to the emergency room when you have pressing but not life-threatening symptoms and conditions.
A recent study found that nearly 30% of emergency room visits could have been treated by a primary care physician or urgent care center. (2) That being said, urgent care is not for the treatment of life-threatening or emergency situations.
Go to the ER immediately if you are experiencing:
- Bleeding that won’t stop
- Chest pains or stroke
- Serious burns
- Sudden loss or change of vision
- Trouble breathing
- Contractions or labor while pregnant
If you experience a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 immediately!
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ER AND AN AFTER-HOURS CLINIC?
Both the emergency room and urgent care centers with extended hours (after-hours clinics) allow patients to seek quick treatment without an appointment. However, emergency rooms are equipped to deal with serious, life-threatening injuries and illnesses. Urgent Care centers can treat a variety of conditions that, while painful or distressing, are not life-threatening, and do not require a formal hospital setting. Urgent care clinics are typically a fraction of the cost of a visit to the ER and may have comparable wait times for those seeking medical attention.
WHAT KIND OF SERVICES DO URGENT CARE CLINICS OFFER?
Urgent care clinics offer many of the same services that large medical facilities offer. X-rays, diagnostic services, Covid testing, occupational medicine, and treatment for injuries and illness can all be accessed without an appointment at many urgent care centers.
CAN I SEE A DOCTOR AT AN URGENT CARE, OR IS IT JUST NURSES?
Urgent care clinics have one or several doctors seeing patients, as well as physicians assistants and nurses.
DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT TO GO TO AN AFTER-HOURS CLINIC?
No. When you can’t get an appointment with your primary care provider, or have urgent symptoms that just can’t wait, you can walk into an after-hours urgent care clinic and be treated. As always, for life-threatening injuries or illnesses, dial 911 or go directly to the emergency room.
WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE INSURANCE? CAN I STILL GO TO URGENT CARE?
Urgent care clinics allow those without health insurance to receive medical treatment and pay out of pocket. Most urgent care clinics do accept certain forms of insurance, in which case the insured patient is only liable for a copay fee.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I was trying to check my mom as well as myself into the kiosk which was proving to be an issue. Adriana, front desk receptionist, noticed and had me bypass the kiosk and she did the check in for us! Feeling as ill as we did that was truly appreciated.
